Solar plant — Saykha, Gujarat

A porta cabin for a solar plant at Saykha in Gujarat. The unit was built complete at our Mumbra works — panel, frame, flooring, door, window and wiring all finished before it left the yard — then transported to the plant and positioned at site by our own team. Nothing was fabricated at site, so the plant got a sealed, painted, wired office on the day the trailer arrived.

A furnished porta cabin together with a mini site cabin for a solar plant at Navsari, Gujarat. Both units are being built to the sizes confirmed by the project team rather than to a standard catalogue size — this is the normal way we work, because a site office has to fit the plot and the team that will sit in it.
250 MW solar project
Status: supplied and dispatched.
The largest job on this page. Office and staff cabins were dispatched to site, along with an HSE centre and induction hall. The HSE centre and induction hall cabin was revised in size part-way through, from 24 x 10 ft to 30 x 10 ft, and we cut and extended the unit to the revised size rather than asking the project to accept what was already built. On a 250 MW site the induction hall is where every new worker is taken on day one, so the room had to be the size the safety team asked for.

These are our standard build figures — the same ones quoted to every buyer, large project or single cabin:
- Wall and roof panel: 50 mm PUF sandwich panel
- PUF core density: 40 kg/m³
- Roof and wall sheet: 0.5 mm
- Frame: MS square pipe 50 x 50 x 2 mm
- Floor: V-Board
Colours available: Grey, Venetian Red, Blue and Olive Green. Any size up to 40 x 12 ft is built complete at the works and delivered; anything larger than that our team fabricates at the site itself.
Where our cabins have gone
Across the Mumbai belt we deliver to Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Andheri, Virar, Vasai and the areas around them. Outside Maharashtra our cabins have gone to Khavda, Bharuch and Bikaner, among other places — in all, more than 100 cities. Alongside solar plants we have supplied contractors, infrastructure firms, factories, schools and housing societies.
