Who we are
MK Portable Cabin has been building portable and prefabricated cabins since 2005. We are a manufacturer, not a trader. Every unit we sell is fabricated at our own works in Mumbra, Thane, and goes out from there to the customer's site. In more than ten years we have served over 500 clients and delivered cabins to more than 100 cities across India.
We are an ISO Certified unit. In practice that means the way a cabin is framed, sheeted, wired and finished follows the same written method every time, whether it is one security cabin or a row of labour huts for a project site.
What we make
Our range covers almost every kind of movable structure a working site needs:
- Portable office cabins and site offices — from a small one-table admin cabin to a furnished office with partition, manager table and workstations
- Security and guard cabins — MS sheet, ACP clad and container-type guard cabins for factory gates, societies and project entries
- Labour accommodation cabins and huts — insulated rooms built off site and placed ready to use
- Container offices and container houses — new-built container-style units and farm-house style container homes
- Used shipping container offices — containers we buy, inspect, cut and convert into offices at our own works
- Portable toilet cabins — single and multi-unit sanitation blocks for sites and events
- Shop cabins, kiosks and classroom cabins — roadside shops, tea stalls, ticket counters and school rooms
- Solar and ACP cabins — cabins for solar plants and sites where a cleaner exterior finish is wanted

How we build
A cabin starts as a steel frame. Walls and roof are closed with sheet or with insulated panel, depending on what the cabin is for and what the customer has asked for. ACP cladding is used where a smarter exterior is wanted. Inside, we do the flooring, the wiring with fan and light points, windows and ventilation, doors and locks, painting and — where asked for — the furniture and partitions.
Because the whole job happens in one yard, the customer deals with one team from quotation to dispatch. There is no sub-contracting of the finishing work to someone else, and nothing is "sourced and relabelled". The cabin you buy is the cabin we built.
Why buyers come back to us

- Written, itemised quotation. Usually the same working day, with every item listed, so nothing is added later.
- You can see it being built. Visit the Mumbra yard, or get photographs of your own cabin before it is dispatched.
- GST invoice and warranty on every order.
- Delivery organised by us — the unit arrives at your site ready to place.
- We say no when we should. If a size or a budget will not give you a cabin that lasts, we tell you before you order, not after.
Where we work
Our head office and manufacturing works are at Mumbra, Thane in Maharashtra. We have branches at Gandimaisamma in Hyderabad (Telangana) and at Dupadu, Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh. From these three points we deliver across Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat and Rajasthan, and to project sites elsewhere in India when transport allows.
Within Maharashtra, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Kalyan, Dombivli, Bhiwandi, Panvel, Taloja and Pune are routine deliveries for us.
Who we build for
Most of our work is for construction and infrastructure contractors, solar and EPC companies, factories, builders, schools and shopkeepers. A site office for a tower under construction, a guard cabin at a factory gate, accommodation for a labour camp, a toilet block for a plant, a kiosk for a roadside shop — these are the jobs we do week after week. That repetition is why our sizes, our fittings and our delivery are predictable.
